This book about Pearlie and her pink shell is painted grey. So she goes to Jaspers letterbox to stay the night, but it is to dusty. So she goes to Great Aunt Garnet's house but there is a note on the front door; "Closed for holidays". So she goes to Opal's house and stays for the night. When she comes back to her shell and sees purple and green lines and orange dots on it she sees the rats and Jasper bangs on the roof with a hammer. Opal lets down a rope and catches them and at the end they had tea.
